How PokedexWiki works

Corrections and error reports

Card databases change, marketplace feeds can be delayed, and editorial mistakes need a clear path to correction. Reports with a URL and supporting evidence are the most useful.

Last materially reviewed:

What to send

  • the exact PokedexWiki page URL;
  • the card, set, field, sentence, or attribution that appears wrong;
  • what you believe the correct information is;
  • a primary or authoritative source when one is available; and
  • the date and time for a price issue, because marketplace values change.

How reports are handled

Reports are checked against the relevant source system. A card-data error is corrected at the database or ingestion layer when possible so it does not return on the next refresh. An editorial error is corrected in the page and its human review date changes only when the visible content received a substantive review.

Price changes versus errors

A marketplace price moving after a page was viewed is not necessarily an error. A wrong card match, wrong printing, inverted ranking, stale embedded price claim, or price labeled with an inaccurate update date is an error and should be reported.

Material corrections

When a correction changes the central conclusion of a human-reviewed article, the page should explain what changed. Routine database refreshes and typographical fixes do not require a narrative correction note.
